Panettone Stellato (Italian)
What is Panettone Stellato?
“Panettone Stellato” translates to “Star Panettone” in English.
Panettone is a traditional Italian sweet bread that is typically enjoyed during the Christmas season. It’s a popular choice for Christmas celebrations in Italy and beyond, offering a delicious and festive addition to holiday tables.
The term “stellato” refers to the Michelin-starred chef, Daniele Sperindio, who created this Panettone!
How to eat panettone?
According to Chef Daniele Sperindio from Michelin-starred Art di Daniele Sperindio restaurant, “A panettone is best consumed as it is. Alternatively, it can be accompanied with an unsweetened Chantilly cream. But keep it simple! It is already very complex as it is.”
How long does panettone last?
An artisanal panettone usually lasts 2-3 weeks.
How to store panettone?
Panettone is best kept at a range of 20-30°C (68-86°F).

While you can get panettone in various places in Singapore, you can only get this first and only Michelin-starred Panettone Stellato at Art di Daniele Sperindio.
What is so special about the Panettone Stellato at Art di Daniele Sperindio?
Chef Daniele Sperindio insists on using only the very best ingredients.
Like the pristine Tuscania mountain water, flour from Lombardia, hazelnuts and Beppino Occelli butter from Piedmont and saffron from L’Aquila – sourced and imported from Italy.
And because the bright, orangey Italian eggs are not possible for import, Chef Daniele Sperindio uses the best Japanese organic eggs instead.
While these Japanese organic eggs costs him S$1.20 each – on top of the best Italian ingredients that he imports, he still keeps the price of the Panettone Stellato as affordable as possible.
Chef Daniele Sperindio does a lot of high quality baked goods in-house at his one Michelin starred restaurant, Art di Daniele Sperindio.
He also shared with me that he’ll be opening a bakery in 2024. Fans of Italian pastries and baked goodies, you need to stay tuned for this!
But first, you can get Chef Daniele Sperindio’s Panettone Stellato to get a first taste of it.
