Contents
Japanese
Sumo Stew, also known as the Chanko Nabe, is a flavoursome hot soup served in a massive pot with mixed vegetables, mushrooms, and pork in a dashi broth and seasoned with soy, sake, and mirin. It is extremely high in protein and is traditionally served to sumo wrestlers who consume large amounts in order to gain weight according to their diet plan. It’s a scrumptious way for guests to warm up this season.
Chinese
Chongqing braised fish with chili will be irresistible who like their food hot and spicy. First, a whole sea bass is roasted until it is moist and tender with a crispy surface. In a large pot, it is then served steaming hot with fried bean curd, sliced lotus roots, and black fungus. Chili oil, dried chili, Sichuan peppercorns, star anise, black cardamom, and coriander are among the exotic herbs and spices used to season it. Those who do not like spicy food can opt for Stewed lamb belly in a clay pot, a popular dish in Hong Kong on cold days because it is believed that eating lamb improves blood circulation and thus keeps the body warm.
Western
Pot-au-feu is French for “on the fire.” It’s a braised beef stew with vegetables and horseradish, a simple and traditional French family meal as well as a national dish that heralds the arrival of autumn. One of the most traditional Basque fish stews is marmitako. It’s a delectable tuna stew with potatoes, tomatoes, and chili that bursts with the flavors of fresh ingredients. Coq au vin is a famous French specialty that consists of red wine-braised chicken with mushrooms, bacon, and mashed potatoes. It’s a saucy and satisfying dish with a rich aroma of wine, earthy mushrooms, and sweet onions.
Southeast Asian
Thai Panang Duck Curry, a red curry stewed with lime leaves, coconut milk, cilantro, cumin, and peanuts, will delight your senses. Other standouts include the Indian cheese stew with tomato, the Persian curry chicken stew, and the Indian Scotch egg kofta curry.
Seafood and more
Aside from the themed buffet delicacies, guests can also enjoy a sumptuous selection of seafood on ice. Guests at the dinner buffet can enjoy an unlimited serving of whole live sustainable Boston lobster poached to their liking.
